Fast Setup with Interactive Controls.
The Blackmagic Camera has all of the controls you'll need to start shooting right away. Tap any item to change settings instantaneously, without having to navigate through complicated menus. In addition to status and record data, the HUD displays histograms, focus peaking indicators, levels, and frame guides. Swipe up or down to display or hide the HUD. Autofocus is enabled by tapping the screen in the region on which you want to focus. Shoot in 16:9 or vertical aspect ratios, and you can also shoot 16:9 vertically if you wish to make your shot less intrusive.
Heads-up Display on the Screen:
The heads-up display (HUD) shows camera controls such as lens selection, frame rate, shutter angle, timecode, ISO, white balance, gain, and audio levels. Touching the ISO indication allows you to alter settings such as exposure, while touching the audio metres allows you to adjust audio volumes. With interactive features, you may rapidly alter any item's settings without having to navigate extensive menus.
Set Up Menus for Cameras:
The settings tab allows you to access advanced camera settings like monitoring, audio, camera setup, recording, and more. Apple ProRes is the industry standard for recording, while H.264 and H.265 save space. You may also alter the anamorphic de-squeeze and lens correction settings. Professionals can use VU and PPM audio metering in AAC and PCM formats. External microphones are also an option. Create film looks using 3D LUTs.
Media:
The Blackmagic Camera media page allows you to browse or scrub clips for quick evaluations, search and categorise your media, and see the upload status. You can view thumbnails for each saved clip by clicking the Media icon in Blackmagic Camera's all clips folder. You can also store clips to your phone's files folder, transfer them to Blackmagic Cloud Storage using Blackmagic Cloud, or manually upload them to a project library. Blackmagic Camera material can even be synchronised straight to a DaVinci Resolve project, allowing you to edit it right away.
Blackmagic Cloud Storage Live Sync:
Video taken with the Blackmagic Camera may be uploaded instantaneously as a proxy file, followed by the camera originals, and saved to Blackmagic Cloud Storage. Using proxies allows you to begin editing quickly, which speeds up the editing process.
