As part of the local head election (Pilkada 2024) upgrading voter data is under progress. Given this, the General Election Commission (KPU) published rules and decisions on how the Pilkada will be carried out in 2024. The e-coklit Pilkada 2024 is explained here.
The 2024 Regional Election E-Coklit:
Quoting KPU Regulations (PKPU), matching and research, hereinafter referred to as coklit, are activities carried out by Voter Data Updating Officers (Pantralih/PPDP) in updating voter data by meeting voters directly and based on improvements from neighbourhood associations (RT) and citizen associations ( RW) or another names and additional voters.
The KPU uses an electronic-based application system called e-coklit for voter data update activities as well as matching and research operations. One can reach it via https://ecoklit.kpu.go.id/. E-coklit is used by the KPU to gather accurate voter information for regional and general elections.
Election Cooklit Events:
Eliminating the voting status of citizens who have converted to members of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) or the Indonesian National Police (Polri) will help to clarify things. Following is Coklit's participation in the election (Polkada 2024), notably in terms of voter list improvement:
- Records on voters with special needs should be entered into the column under disability type.
- Eliminate voters whose rights to vote have been permanently denied following court rulings.
- Record voters that satisfy the requirements but have not yet registered on the voter's list using the Model A.A-KWK form.
- The voting process should be stopped for a voter who does not live in the location the election is being conducted in.
- Voter data errors need to be fixed Eliminating passed voters.
- The voting rolls should be deleted a voter who migrated to another location.
- Eliminated should be a voter who is not yet 17 (seventeen) years old and who is not married or married at the time of voting.
- Remove proven to be invalid voter data disqualify voters whose medical certificate-based mental/memory issues stem from.
