How is the application used?
USB Configuration:
- When prompted, choose the always box and allow HUR to be the default program for the action when you insert the USB into your device (if using a tablet, use an OTG cable).
- The app may not launch on a device running Android 7.0 or later until you drag down the notification bar and select the attached USB device first (device dependent).
- If your phone does not run the app instantly when you connect it in, open HUR, tap the USB button, and choose your device from the list.
WiFi Configuration:
- To become a developer, start Android Auto on your phone, then pick About and tap the "About Android Auto" header ten times.
- When you're a developer, select Start Headunit Server from the three-dotted right corner.
- Shut down Android Auto.
- Tethering should start (from the phone).
- Connect your HUR-capable unit device to the freshly created hotspot.
- Launch HUR.
- Choose WiFi.
To Enable Direct Mode for WiFi:
- Launch HUR and select Wifi Direct. Follow the screen prompts.
Self Mode (when the same smartphone runs both Android Auto and HUR):
- Choose Self-Mode.
- To become a developer, start Android Auto on your phone, then pick About and tap the "About Android Auto" header ten times.
- Shut down Android Auto.
- When you're a developer, select Start Headunit Server from the three-dotted right corner.
- Launch HUR.
