Our online environment and game are completely independent of his, and they feature unique additions and modifications that we created ourselves.
Choosing appropriate names for your offspring is a crucial part of the game (who are also players). When a mother gives her child the name "Hope," she may tell her, "You are Hope."
Your mission is to work with other players over the course of endless generations to recreate civilization from the ground up.
A baby is born to one of the other characters, or a young woman if no suitable mother can be found. In-game time is converted to years at a rate of one per minute, with a maximum age cap of sixty. The things you accomplish in this life may not outlive you, but they will be passed on to future generations. The continued success of your family tree depends on your efforts to improve a lot of those who come after you.
There will be times when you spawn in the wilderness all by yourself. To keep warm, you'll need to construct a fire, and you'll have to trap rabbits for both food and clothing. In the beginning, a sharp stone could end up being your best ally. You should look for a suitable location to plant some crops and raise some livestock, as additional players will soon arrive as your offspring and will need to be fed and cared for until they are old enough to pitch in.
Sometimes you're born into a huge metropolis teeming with farmers, chefs, blacksmiths, shepherds, and hunters. Players, who may be your grandparents or other distant relatives, will have costumes and equipment available for you to use. It's possible that you and your pals will strike out to establish your own community, that you'll take over your uncle's farm, or that you'll go on a killing spree against the local wolf and bear population. There's no shortage of options, but keep in mind that life is meaningless unless it improves the world in some way.
You'll meet new people in the game with each new life you play. Some of them have more or less experience than you do. There will be some who learn from you and those who have something to teach you. Some of them may even threaten the progress of the civilization you're constructing. For a brief time, you and your fellow players will have the power to influence the world before the next generation takes over.
Seeing how your offspring fared in the game world is something you can do long after your own character's time there has ended. Knowing that you had a hand in ensuring the survival of your younger relatives and the subsequent generations gives you a reason to feel pride.
We implemented the Family Ties IAP in version 1.7.0, which includes the observer mode and family chronicles. The use of this is totally discretionary and not needed in any way to participate in the game.
