DirtyFrag is a modified version of DFRoot designed specifically for Samsung devices. It exploits the DirtyFrag vulnerability (CVE-2026-43284) to load kernel modules without needing to unlock the bootloader or install a custom kernel. DirtyFrag targets Samsung security features such as One UI, RKP, and KDP, and allows users to select their preferred SU manager.
Main Features of DirtyFrag APK
- SU Manager Selection: Choose your preferred SU manager directly within the application.
- Automatic Boot on System Boot: Expert mode offers an automatic boot option. A security mechanism disables it after a failed boot attempt to prevent recurring issues.
- Automatic Reboot: The application allows rebooting on KernelSU derivatives. It downloads dfroot.ko after a short loading period and initiates the reboot using ksud.
- KernelSU Module Control: Enable or disable the KernelSU module without requiring root access. The selected settings are applied before ksud starts.
- Read-Only Partition Protection: Includes read-only partition protection to preserve their default state.
- Extended Logging: View detailed logs and save them directly to the Downloads folder with a single tap.
- Odin Download Mode Indicator: An indicator in the toolbar shows whether the current firmware supports download mode. Tap it for more details.
- Version Update Notifications: When a new version is available, the "Release" heading changes to a quick "Update" button.
- Shizuku Not Required: DirtyFrag works without Shizuku.
- Temporary Root Access: Root access is temporary. The kernel module, SU binary, and loaded modules are removed upon rebooting the device. Rebooting the phone will restore it to its non-root state and provide recovery options if the process fails.
